At Poets Bakery, we take pride in delivering our freshly baked treats to you with the utmost care. Please review our shipping policies below to ensure a smooth delivery experience:

Selecting Your Delivery Date

You can choose your desired delivery date during checkout. To guarantee your order arrives on time, please place your order at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to your preferred delivery date. Orders submitted with less than 72 hours’ notice may not be eligible for on-time delivery.

Order Processing Time

Once your order is received, it will be prepared and packaged for shipping. Processing typically takes 1–3 business days. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

Shipping Methods

We use Royal Mail’s 24-hour tracked service to ensure quick and secure delivery. However, Poets Bakery may occasionally choose alternative shipping methods at our discretion. Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination and weight of your package within the UK.

After your order is dispatched, you will receive an email containing your tracking details so you can monitor the progress of your delivery.

Shipping Areas

Currently, Poets Bakery ships exclusively within the United Kingdom. At this time, we are unable to deliver to P.O. boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or locations outside of the UK.

Delivery Timeline

We aim to deliver orders on the date you select at checkout. Delivery times are based on Royal Mail’s 24-hour tracked service. While we strive to meet your chosen delivery date, external factors, such as carrier delays, may occasionally affect timing.

Shipping Perishable Items

To maintain freshness, our baked goods are packaged with care. In some cases, we may use temperature-control measures during transit. Please ensure someone is available to receive your package on the delivery date to prevent exposure to extreme temperatures.

Undeliverable Packages

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failed delivery attempts, we will contact you to arrange re-shipment. Please note that re-shipping will incur additional costs. To avoid delays, please double-check your delivery information before completing your order.

Shipping Delays

Although we do everything possible to ensure timely deliveries, Poets Bakery is not responsible for delays caused by Royal Mail or unforeseen circumstances. We recommend ordering well in advance to allow for any potential disruptions.
